Contribuiți la feedbackExcellent food and staff- what more can you ask for! We had lunches of chicken Caesar salad and satay chicken salad, both were excellent. We had to take our lovely cakes home for later!
Lovely service, welcoming staff seated us as soon as a table became available. My friend had some dietary requirements and the wait staff knew exactly which items to point her towards. I had the tandoori flatbread and it was so flavoursome, every bite had a different combination of flavours. The portion size is very generous too. My friend opted for a salad and it was enormous, packed full of extras that make a salad worth ordering. Again, full of flavour and variety. We opted to take away dessert as the food was so filling we wanted to wait a while. So we paid in the cafe area, the meal was reasonably priced considering the amount we had just eaten. We joined the queue for take away sweet treats and although it was reasonably long it was dispersed quickly and efficiently by the staff on the counter. The gentleman who served us was particularly polite and attentive to each customer, we were both very impressed with his customer service and the way he made us feel like we were being welcomed and valued. He asked us to give feedback on the lemon and raspberry cake we purchased and it was as expected delicious and flavoursome and once again a massive portion for the price. We got extra cakes for family who have all asked to visit as they enjoyed them so much. Maybe that was a bad idea as next time we'll have company and it'll no longer be a girly day. Thankyou to all the staff it really was a lovely place to have lunch and catch up with a friend.
Cute little cafe with very attentive staff. Ordered the full English breakfast. Was disappointed overall. It was served in a huge bowl which made it very difficult to eat. I nearly had to ask for a steak knife to cut my greasy mushroom. The toast was cut ridiculously thick and was basically bread with a very this tasted crust. This was also the first time I’ve ever had to carve scrambled eggs. Bacon and sausage were average at best. Best thing on the plate was the black pudding. All style and no substance. They have clearly concentrated on how thing look rather than how they taste.
Maybe the food is fine, but unfortunately I didn’t get to go. I was gifted some vouchers in summer 2022 to try the place and didn’t realise that they expire in 6 months. I telephoned the cafe hoping that they would offer to honour them as a good will gesture as they’ve had the money and it’s less than a year since they were bought. That would be good customer service, right? They’d have lost literally nothing. They could have even said they’d accept half the value due to inflation etc. However, I never got to ask. The woman on the phone was that “fake nice” people dealing with potential disputes get when they’re telling you something they know that they obviously get a lot of grief about, calling me “sweet pea” I’m a 42 year old woman. Pretty condescending and I didn’t get chance to give any grief (not that I would have, I’m polite) because she hung up on me. Bad customer service, absolute con on gift voucher dates. Not a good experience at all and didn’t even manage to get through the door! Before I get a reply saying that they tell people about the quick date and that’s their policy that’s not my feedback. They didn’t tell me because the vouchers were gifted to me by someone else. My feedback is that the period of time is too short and the woman on the phone was rude. That’s it. If you go there regular and you love it and never bought vouchers then good for you. All I’m saying is avoid the vouchers unless you can guarantee you’ll be using them in 6 months and also hope you never need to contact them from a customer service perspective because you may well be sorely disappointed by the attitude.
OK excellent food and very friendly staff well worth a visit you won't be disappointed not over priced
