Contribuiți la feedbackWe have used this pub off and on for some years, through the tenure of a few landlords and landladies. Gary and Rachel that have it now are by far the best thing to have happened to this pub ... ever. The place is cleaner than it has ever been, they are more welcoming than any of the previous owners and their food is by far the best ever served here. Their barmaid Becky is also a family member and, like the owners, is very efficient and friendly. Please ignore the old reviews that show the pub in a bad light. Under the previous owners the pub did have some real problems, but since Gary and Rachel took over, all those issues were ironed out. I suppose this reads like a paid-for reference, but please don't think that. I give credit where it's due and, now, this pub deserves the accolades it could have had long ago. One last thing; no, I was not friends with Gary and Rachel before they moved into the Burns Head. I am just really glad they did.

Brilliant food as always the best restaurant by far .My dad loves it too great pensioners deals not usual for someone to want to get to 60th lol
I have read alot of negative reviews, before writing this. Can I say the majority of them seem to relate to a previous landlord/landlady. Also, people say it is a 'regulars pub '. Well it is off the main route, and you wouldn 't know it was here. So these pubs survive, by the custom of the regulars. About the pub. The landlady is what I would call an 'old style ' landlady. She made my wife and I, my sister and brother-in-law, instantly welcome. I drink 'real ale ', and they have a regularly changed, guest beer. The usual electric pump selection of beer and lagers. My wife like Coors on draught, which pleased her. We sometimes stay at a local caravan park, and when we are there, we tend to use the Burns on 'Fish Friday '. They do a lovely home made Fish and Chips. However, you really need to book in advance, to avoid disappointment. So, I would recommend this pub, it is what it is, a village pub off the beaten track. And of course the locals know each other, don 't let that put you off. Finally, they have Sky Sports. David
Myself, my husband and my parents called in here for food, sadly they didn't serve food all week.. so we stayed for drinks. The landlady was direct but lovely all the same. We went into what I presume was the tap room and played a few games of pool. The regulars seemed to enjoy the entertainment. Although I'm sure one or two probably wanted to just watch the TV. Anyway we enjoyed ourselves.
