Contribuiți la feedbackCame in on a Monday at 9pm the place was cute but seemed to be a little run down (felt pretty muggy (damp) in the lobby and a little muggy in the restaurant). There was one other customer in the whole place (sad to see). The waitress was pleasant and let us know that it was cash only and they have an ATM on site in case you don't have cash before we ordered. I ordered an omelette and potato salad with a tea, the tea was off color (kinda milky). The food came out quickly and was good other than having me and my friends omelettes on the wrong plates.This place seems like it needs some TLC from management and seems like the locals needs to give it a chance again. We almost didn't eat here due to the bad recent reviews and lack of other customers but we gave it a shot and wouldn't mind going back.

My biggest issue aside from not getting water until the end of the meal was that our waitress added a tip to the receipt like it was a food or beverage item and when I asked her about it she said it was her tip. I told her that the tip comes after the card has been charged and was trying to get a logical explanation because why would you add it as an item and tax your own tip here. For the record, my friend and I tip very well wherever we go and are also familiar with gratuity being included. Idk if this woman is used to being stiffed on her tips but she kept saying it was her 15% when i asked what the additional charge was. When she ran my friends card, the receipt came back the way some do with options on percentage and with it added up/doing the math for you... this woman wrote the amount that she wanted on the tip line with the amount that she initially placed as a food item. She wrote it in like she was the one signing. My friend signed it and we left and I can 't help but wonder if she does this to white customers as well and if this was racially motivated since beforehand the diner was full of older white people and I heard none of them complaining about the line item tip ... for frame of reference, I am hispanic and my friend is black american) I will not be returning to this place ever and will instead be giving my money and hefty tips to other establishments. Maybe there was a heavy misunderstanding here? Maybe this is how she was trained by the owner? I have no idea. It 's a shame she shortchanged herself and wrote in the amount she wanted when we absolutely would 've left more. Either way, I won 't be returning.
Came in with my family and my little sister asked about the discount for goodwin students. There was a sticker plastered to the door that said to ask about the discount as it is supposed to be a goodwin foodsite. We ask and all the employees seem confused as hell as to what we were talking about. They all looked at eachother confused and they barely even understood english. The dishes were dirty and the water had stuff floating in it. There was a very unpleasant smell of mildew in the restaurant and as we seated down the seats seemed extremely beat up. We were already completely disgusted and ready to go but as we were getting up the staff ushered us to sit down and order and were breathing down our necks to stay. It was late at night and every other option was closed, so reluctantly we agreed to stay. We ordered a small family platter as the smell really killed our appetite for anything big. We waited 20 mins for the food to come out and when it did it looked disgusting. The food was stale and way too crunchy and the sauces we were provided tasted absolutely rancid. I tried using the ketchup bottle and it was red water no matter how much I shook it. To top it all off when we went to pay the total was 12.99 on the menu, when i took a look at the receipt the cashier attempted to hide from me after she handed me back a 5 when i gave her a 20 i realized they charge a 20% dining fee. No where in the restaurant does it say that this happens and i suspect they disguised it as a tip which i most definitely would not have given because the service was more rancid than the nasty food. On top of that the server was looking extremely guilty in the corner after she tried automatically throwing away the receipt. Beware of these scammers.
They take longer than an hr to get our food. People don’t carry cash now a day. They ask for cash onlyShort staff. Order something get a different ordered. Gives us straw but no water. I feel that they need to step it up more and be more friendlier. And that over charging is Ridiculous.. they have a 20% dine in charge
