Soft Sands Cafe - East Geelong

I had only one birthday dinner in this caffe and enjoyed eating and the coffee. we had eggs florentine and the turkey open stack on rye bread. delicious and highly recommended. great customer service. fast delivery to eat and coffee.

The restaurant is decent. The food is average, the coffee is fine, and the place is clean and tidy. The service is good, and the staff is polite. The cafe is conveniently located, with easy access from the eastern beach or by taking the train directly to the central Westfield shopping center.

I requested two freshly cooked eggs for my sandwiches, but had to wait 5 minutes. I waited an additional 10 minutes only to have a young girl pour the eggs onto the sandwich, causing the bread to become soggy. I complained and was met with apologies and justifications that were not satisfactory. I did not accept their response and felt that it was not acceptable to serve a customer in this way. I will not be returning to this restaurant. They have lost my business.

I hadn't noticed this hidden gem tucked away in the corners of Westfields until recently, and I'm so glad I did. While I don't drink coffee, I have had the pleasure of dining here several times and have always enjoyed my meals. The lasagne is a standout dish, accompanied by a delicious side salad that I've tried to recreate at home multiple times. The breakfast options are also top-notch, with the raisin toast being a personal favorite. The prices are reasonable, especially for lighter meals like toasties, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Table service is provided, adding to the overall dining experience. The spacious seating area is a welcome touch, as it never feels cramped even during busy times.

Cant' stand mall eateries they are like the noisy trough. Have eaten at Soft Sands in Westfield Geelong more than half a dozen times now. Never ever been disappointed. You find a table, some eone comes to take your order within 5 min, your...food is served quickly, and always pleasant and with a smile. Food quality is exceptional for a coffee place in a mall. i.e. with my croissant comes a little side salad all for $8.50. Fish and chips also comes with the side salad. Plus a nice dessert cabinet, and roast of the day. A favourite of ours in Geelong.
