Ohako Japanese Sushi Noodle Dumpling Bar

The nori rolls were excellent. We ordered them right at 11:30 and they were made fresh to our liking. Delicious!

A friendly and courteous Asian woman running the restaurant single-handedly. Prices are very affordable and the portions are generous. The food is delicious - we were so impressed dining in that we ordered two additional meals to take away. They also have a BYO wine license. I wish there was a cafe like this in our neighborhood.

The Gyoza dumplings were delicious with a light fry. The decor may be a bit dated, but the premises are clean and the owner is very friendly. The combination with oyster sauce was also very tasty. The prices were very reasonable. I would definitely return!

Fist thing. From a pedestrian viewpoint you're looking for the sushi noodle bar. (The sign up top has the full name, but you can't see it from the footpath. This is one of the little gems that make Geelong great. A couple of years ago I was in town after 9pm and grabbing myself a kebab. My partner had requested I look for some handroll, and the lovely lady in here made her some from scratch, in spite of being very close to closing. Visited last night and my partner got the first GREAT wonton soup she's had since leaving QLD. Crisp veggies. Perfect hand made dumplings and a delicious broth. I ordered a spicy chicken noodle dish, and after we sat down the owner came outside and asked if I wanted to try a different dish. I accepted her recommendation (it was $3 more than what I had ordered, but we had already paid and it was a free upgrade The noodles were perfect. The sauce was divine. The meat and veggies cooked to tender perfection. 11/10 we will be back soon.

Friendly staff, good food, served fresh. favourite asian takeaway place in geelong. not the kind of place that will give you small portions either, always left there full and happy as it should be. delicious, definitely consider it if you are out and want something nice.
