Big Moose Station - Eagle Bay

Delicious food and a great service, love to stop at this historic station for a great local meal.

Environment 5/5 place is as rustic adirondack as it gets. An old train station with a lot of rural charm. Service 4/5 Was a bit slow to sit, but it looked like they were really short employees. Server was attentive and friendly, we enjoyed their conversation. Eat 4/5 I had the rib and my wife had the salmon. Ribeye was juicy and delicate, a beautiful cut and decent weight. Lachs was on the dry side. Only the disadvantage is that Pommes do not come with meals as strength. Overall, this joint was great and we will be back next year.

This place was a short drive from where my daughter and I were staying. We chose to dine on the porch as we weren?t dressed for the dining room. It was very cozy and comfortable. The staff were all super friendly. The food came out quick and was absolutely perfect. If we?re in this neck of the woods again, I?d definitely choose Big Moose Station for dinner. Thank you!

Very good food. Great atmosphere, although more nuanced lighting would boost to 5 stars. Tad slow on the initial service, but heck, it was vacation.
