The Church Mouse - Durham

My wife I dined here with a friend recently and were disappointed. The mains were OK but the meringue dessert was very poor indeed. Tasted like it was from a supermarket shelf and had been there a long time. Wines were extremely overpriced too. Have a feeling there must be better options close by.

The atmosphere was perfect, a really comfortable environment to be in with friends and the food was magnificent. The presentation combined with the flavours really hit the sweet spot. It is high end restaurant quality and I’m looking forward to my next visit.

I had a very tasty lunch of lasagna and fries. The lasagna was hot and the fries were also hot. The service was great as always, this time from Chloe.

The restaurant was bustling with activity, but my table was reserved upon my arrival. The atmosphere was lively, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious.

It was okay, just okay, not what I'd expect to eat. more like what I have for myself as a fast meal. not very good.
