Contribuiți la feedbackEvery kind of fast food is now available in vegan options. This review was last updated on January 24, 2022.
This spacious pub, located in the historic area of Durham, is vegan friendly and a great choice for dining. Our group enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, especially during inclement weather. The menu offered a variety of vegan options, such as all day breakfast, burrito bowls, and sandwiches.
Never been here for food and never. From experience, this is an inconspicuous night from type of place where you can watch football on a large screen and drink over expensive beer surrounded by late teenagers, students and older men who are desperate to get away from their women. Midweek offers on drinks and vegan menu options are available. Steer the weekend, plan your visit strategically during the week and you can be pleasantly surprised.
We ordered the vegan platter, which includes a chapati bread filled with chickpea curry. A waiter approached our table and informed us that they had run out of the curry and asked if it would be acceptable to substitute it with a Paneer Tikka Masala (V). My husband requested to exchange the curry for more cauliflower instead, as it is made with cheese. This request was accommodated without issue. However, when our food was brought out, it was the paneer tikka masala despite our preference for no cheese. After discussing this with the staff, they claimed it was tofu instead of cheese, although there was no mention of tofu on the menu. Upon trying it, we found it to be the most cheesy tofu we had ever tasted. It seems that while the restaurant has made an effort to offer a variety of vegan options, the lack of consistency and misinformation from the staff undermines this effort.
They came here after a visit to thecathedtal. beautiful local style pub. good atmosphere. no warning of ghosts, has seen nothing. If they visit the opposite, I'd go back in.
