Namu - Durham

We enjoyed the variety of choices offered at this restaurant. We tried two different dishes along with the Korean pancakes, which ended up being our favorite. The dishes were satisfactory, and the staff seemed knowledgeable. Parking was convenient, but picking up our order was a bit confusing as it was located at the far end near the highway.

The service at this restaurant is excellent and they offer delicious vegan dishes. However, they do not label their options as vegan, so you may need to ask the staff which items are suitable for a vegan diet or request to have certain ingredients removed to make a dish vegan. They also offer an allergenic menu upon request.

I finally visited namu a few days ago and was impressed by the huge, beautiful space offering coffee, Korean cuisine, beer, and fantastic outdoor seating (as well as inside seating). I recommend asking for the vegan/allergenic menu to help guide your choices. You can also add tofu to any dish on the menu. The japchae and veggie pancakes are already vegan, but be sure to ask for the complete vegan options. We tried the burrito bowl, joe's special, veggie pancakes, and an icy soy latte - all of which were delicious and filling. The pancakes were a bit oily, so keep that in mind. The beer hall has a separate entrance but offers the same food options as the restaurant. Dogs are welcome in the beer hall and outdoor area. We had a great experience and enjoyed the atmosphere. I will definitely return, especially in cooler weather to enjoy the outdoor seating.

Namu. you had me in the hell. or was it her Mexican BBQ shell? whatever, this food is legit. simply my top 3 restaurant in all durham. Korean bbq is always fresh and tasty and who doesn't love a bowl that can be sprinkled with delicious sauces?

This place has the most beautiful free space ever. the opposite is surrounded by bambushainen. there is a waterfall with a pond full of fish in the middle. the tables are sufficiently spaced, with some terrace heaters next to them. there are tables with different shapes and sizes to fit something to any occasion. there are unconventional rooms, with space for a large group or a quiet conversation. it is unusual to have something on a single location for everyone. this place could be good for couples, groups, children and everything in between. there were high chairs available. they might need a few bargains to make it perfect for wheelchair users. they need disabled parking with a strip of non-green parking space and ramp access to the terrace.
