Mi Barrio - Durham

This restaurant is like my neighborhood spot since I live so close by. My family has been coming here for many years and we always enjoy the delicious food, large portions, and reasonable prices. The only downside is the location and decor, but that's not really their fault. The restaurant is always clean and the staff are very friendly. I recommend trying the macho burrito or the enchiladas suizas.

A local, quiet hole-in-the-wall indeed. But the best Mexican food we have found in East Durham. While the menu is Tex-Mex like, the food is much more authentic and tasty than your normal Tex-Mex place. In a small strip plaza by a gas station, i.e., don't go for the ambience. Go for the stellar food.

I have been dining at this restaurant for over 14 years. It is a hidden gem with absolutely amazing food.

This restaurant is a true hidden gem, offering affordable and delicious meals. They have extremely inexpensive lunch options available. It is definitely superior to the nearby Las Palmas restaurant.
