Cook Out - Durham

I had a disappointing experience at this location. I ordered a chicken strip tray, and the chicken pieces were incredibly small. When I went inside to address the issue, I encountered a young lady who I assume was the manager. Instead of apologizing and offering to fix the problem, she replied, "That's the size, ma'am," with an attitude. I told her she could take the tray back and just replace the chicken, but she insisted I should keep it, shaking her head and shrugging her shoulders. Eventually, she brought me a few more tenders on a separate tray, still displaying an attitude. The disparity between what we pay for food and what we actually receive needs to change. Companies seem to have lost their humility towards customers.

I recently visited the Cook Out on Shannon Rd (store number 137) and wanted to share my experience. The young man who took my order was incredibly polite and professional, making this the best drive-thru experience I've ever had at any Cook Out. I feel it's important for corporate and management to know how impressed I was with the customer service I received this evening. I wish I had caught the young man’s name—I tried to thank him as I was leaving, but he was very focused on serving the customers. I was there on October 4 at 6:50 PM, and my order number was 1349. The cashier's name on my receipt is Paola. Please extend my gratitude to him for his outstanding service. Sincerely, a satisfied customer.

I went back inside, and the manager was very nice and willing to resolve the issue. However, the rest of the staff was terrible and quite rude. I recommend double-checking your food before leaving.

I love Cook Out any day of the week! Apparently, I'm not the only one who likes to frequent this location. The only reason for the four stars is because all throughout the summer, they seem to always be out of watermelon for it's seasonal shake.Nonetheless, I get the same Cook Out tray every time and I've never been disappointed from this location!
