The restaurant did not have my reservation. however e mountain grouse grill my reservation tonight and it was great!
That was our second visit of az. unfortunately this visit did not come close to our first culinary experience. our waitress seemed inexperienced, not attentive as server and she really put a damper on the dinge. I'm sure chef tyler would have been horrified by the buried, and temperatures of our meal. we have even allowed to postpone our reservation to book through bookings. eating and service were really not on a level we expected or expected. have we had too high expectations? beyond that when I made the reservation by open table, I noticed it was a special occasion. but no one in the restaurant knew or recognized the reason for our visit. that all said we would still come back. we love the menu, chef tyler, nicole and the edgy blonde barkeeper (name? we understand that everyone can have a free day. I just hope we will visit next time, plate is on the upswing! cordial gratitude to the chef tyler on his chopped competition. we are still impressed by this young man character and culinary skills. best wishes to tell and do.
The plate is a new restaurant on the east side of durango off florida road. the restaurant is located where another restaurant was located in a small shopping/office complex. we think that this restaurant will be an excellent place for neighbours. we were five times on the plate and found it very good and pleasant. we have eaten four different occasions and Sunday brunch once. the food was excellent. the menu is a little lacking in diversity, but they have specialties every day and the specials were... good .special! my wife has tried the quesadilla several times and the veggie wrap, I have tried the texas barbecue plate, the durangotan burger, the sous vida short ribs, and the plate Tex-Mex fajitas. all these dishes were wonderful, and we'll have lunch back. Sunday brunch was excellent, but I thought it was a little expensive for brunch. I had the crab cakes and my wife had the eggs benedict. the plate has a fully equipped bar with interesting cocktails and a large selection of beer and wine. something for everyone. the atmosphere is modern with a beautiful bar. service is good. the plate seems very busy and on Friday often has a waiting time at 19:00 clock. they will offer them a drink while they wait, which is a nice note. overall I recommend the plate, they will enjoy it!
Improving every week. Front of house is jelling. Juliet, our wait person, was one of best we've ever had in Durango.
