Star - Dumfries Galloway

The lunch menu is delightful and they also offer Sunday lunch. The service was prompt and friendly in a cozy atmosphere. We definitely plan to return.

Tonight, we went to The Star Hotel with friends and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and we received a warm welcome. We indulged in a delicious three-course dinner that did not disappoint. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. We had a fantastic evening and cannot wait to visit again!

The Star is a wonderful spot for a casual meal. As a parent with a 7-year-old, we mainly come here for the food, which is always delicious and homemade. The staff are friendly and efficient, always willing to accommodate any requests. On our most recent visit, we tried the Popseye steak, which was incredible and came with homemade onion rings. The service was excellent, thanks to the young waitress and Carrie. We dine here regularly and are always pleased with our experience. Thank you to the staff at The Star!

We, and our dogs, had a very warm welcome from all the staff at The Star. The bar had a nice relaxed atmosphere and the macaroni cheese and side salad were delicious. We will definitely go there again next time we are in the area.

Good quality pub food. Great choice of dishes for adults and kids. Great service and nice environment. None of us got one but a couple on the table next to us ordered one and the steaks looked fantastic. The homemade deserts were a really nice way to finish a good meal. We will definitely return.
