Phoenix Chinese Takeaway

After reading the reviews, we thought this restaurant would be a good choice for a takeaway in Dumfries. However, we were not impressed and did not enjoy our meal. The portion sizes seemed smaller than usual for a takeaway, and the chicken balls were more like pancakes - dense and greasy. Despite our hunger, we were disappointed with our meal.

I have consistently experienced excellent service at this restaurant. The staff is friendly, the food is always hot and fresh, and I have never had trouble finding parking outside.

I have been coming to this small, family-run Chinese restaurant for 7 years now and have never had a bad meal. Their Salt and Pepper Chicken is delicious, as well as their Special Foo Young and Prawn Toast. The only complaint I have is that I wish they offered thicker prawn crackers, but it's not a big deal since I rarely eat them. The restaurant is cash-only, but that doesn't bother me. A full meal typically costs around 8 pounds, which I believe is a great value. The food is always hot and tasty.
