Vinny Vanucchi's Little Italy - Dubuque

Late on a Wednesday after 8 pm was a wait to recognize I was there to be seated. Another long wait for a server, though they were not busy. Ordered the New York Strip. It was worth the wait. it has been quite a while since I have had this good of a steak. My compliments to the chef. I an somewhat a steak snob. worked a number of years in the Amana Colonies cooking Amana steaks and this ranked up in there.

I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. The sauce tasted very bad. As it would turn out the lady at the next table had the same experience. The garlic bread was tough, but tasted OK. My wife’s pizza was good and her bruschetta also got sent back because it had a weird taste.

The service was good and the atmosphere was fine. The free salad and bread was decent. My wife and I were really surprised by how flavorless our main dishes ended up being. I had the chicken parmesan and she had fettuccine alfredo and both just tasted like nothing. Not worth the price.

Some of the best Italian food I have ever had in an atmosphere that was amazing!

Food is very good, and honestly not too pricey, waitresses are very nice and accommodating the place always smells like garlic (amazing) and has nice decor
