Contribuiți la feedbackRather disappointing after all the fine reviews we read. Were here on new year 's eve at 8 pm (second shift) and meaning to have a wonderful culinary experience and evening. We weren 't asked whether we 'd like an aperitif but ordered one anyway. Our first entree arrived almost immediately after receiving the aperitif. The chowder was very tasty (but the combination with my pornstar martini not so). Our second entree came very soon after that (the scallops were really good) so we asked to wait a while before bringing our main, what they assured us. Ten minutes later however, our main arrived, so we sent it back. Our main (braised lamb and stuffed turkey) was rather dry, not very tasteful. A little after 10 they came to ask whether we would like dessert and added that if we would, we had to order immediately because the chef wanted to go home ?! My husband ordered an Eton mess. We didn 't see any staff during half an hour and a litlle before 11 they brought us the bill because the restaurant was closing . When they realised my husband didn 't get his dessert, one of the staff did his best to decorate a piece of lemon cake because the chef was gone! Never in our entire life (and we visit a lot of restaurants all around the world) we have been treated like this. If you want to go celebrate yourselves, don 't open your restaurant, just to be ramming the food through the throats of your customers at speed tempo, a real shame!
Cosy ,stylish, beautiful restaurant. The service was outstanding, and the food was glorious.
The starters arrived the presentation was good as expected and tasted equally good. We then ordered the wagyu beef cheek which was bland, tough and extremely disappointing considering it was also the most expensive main on the menu. Not impressed, left without having dessert and service changed as soon as the bill was paid. Would not go back unfortunately.
Restaurant is based in a hotel which has seen better days. This detracts from the whole experience. I had made the booking for 4 of us for pre theatre dinner. My heart sank when I went into the restaurant, reminded me of a faded sea side hotel from the 70's. We were put in a back annexe off the main restaurant, not great. Service was a bit rushed but can understand this as it was New Years eve. Food was pretty good, good choice of starters, choice of mains not so exciting felt the wine list, while they had a decent selection, was on the expensive side. I got the feeling that there was a lot of hard work being put in to bring the standard of the restaurant up to a higher standard, but it is not there yet.
Beautiful restaurant, ideally located in the center of dublin. the menu was slightly limited, but for all flavors fish, meat vegetarian) all attractiv price. the wine list is very interesting and breaks the form of the usual French, Italian and Spanish weeping with interesting inclusions from croatia, Slovak, Usa and South Africa. the pricing of some of these less known weine and even the more popular clip labels is somewhat high, with nothing under euro 40.00 the presentation and service of the ditches were excellent with attentive service in loving settings. beautiful desserts, very expensive. recommended for a special night in dublin
