Duffer's Grill - Duarte

The Monrovia Duarte Black Alumni Association hosted an event in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The event featured guest speaker Tressa Abston and entertainment by the JazzZone Trio.

The bar service at this restaurant is always excellent, with decent pricing and a nice variety of draft beer. However, the food is just okay and the kitchen staff is lacking. It took over an hour to receive a simple order of nachos. Despite these shortcomings, we appreciate the friendly bar staff, especially the two Hispanic women, Diana and Bernice, who always provide water for our dogs. Unfortunately, the cook was rude and complained about making our food. When my husband inquired about the delay, the cook made a snarky comment. Upon receiving our food, the cook came out to our table and wouldn't stop talking, creating a hostile environment. We used to enjoy coming here, but due to this negative experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere. Thank you to the friendly ladies who took care of us, and we may consider returning if the troublesome cook is removed.

I had a fantastic experience on Taco Tuesday at this restaurant. The fish tacos, Al Pastor, and Carne Asada were delicious and really hit the spot before a round of golf. They have a good variety of beer and spirits, and the friendly, laid-back atmosphere made for a great dining experience. I had a burger here on a previous weekend visit, and it was also excellent. The food at this golf course restaurant never disappoints. Highly recommend it.

I had been there several times. The food is good. I think this is a nice place to drink and eat.

I absolutely love Duffers! You can always find a familiar face or make new friends. The bartenders are energetic and sweet, they can really pour a stiff cocktail. The cooks are more than willing to customize your food order, their ingredients are fresh and always so tasty. Live Jazz by the one and only Rob on Thursdays. Fridays they host karaoke that rotates between DJ Henry and DJ Eric. Great crowds, awesome fun and with a view. What are you waiting for??
