I am glad that my second visit was as pleasant as the first one, and I look forward to return the next time I am in town.
The visit to gansedieb was not a big success. the service was not attentive and eating was very heavy, but without interesting aromen.
A typical German restaurant with a very central location in a cozy corner of the city. a lot of hearty German dishes, few caught beer, dishes with goose meat. pleasant ambiente, good service and very good quality of delicious dishes. highly recommended!
We met this German restaurant after we had spent many hours exploring different parts of dresden. the place was pretty crowded out, but we could secure another table. our waiter was a little cool, almost strange in his approach to his clientele. certainly not the friendly, chatting art to make her feel excessively welcome. anyway, at the due thema of this device I ordered the duck fat with brot as a very rustic art of starter. certainly not the healthiest items on the menu, but nevertheless, delicious. for my main course I went for the crispy escape that was not too dissimilar what they would find in a decent Chinese restaurant, but obviously served in German fashion on a bed of laek and sweet, which was all very delicious. I've washed all this with the design radeberger pilsner. a remarkable feature was here that when my eating arrived a busy waitress also a small bottle worcester sauce dresdner art I later learned that this was originally produced during the East German era by the “VEB excellent Dresden”. this is made to a unique recipe and is described as a beautiful, spicy variant, the malt extract, apple jelly and dessert wine, but not a chili. very different from the British version of the Worcestershire sauce.
I love traditional German food so choose this place as it was busy with Germans. Service is efficient, the menu is not huge but covers traditional meat dishes. My wurst was excellent, the mashed potatoes could have been smoother but they were delicious. A very...good first meal in Dresden.
