The Original Green Olive - Downey

I would not recommend this place to anyone, tried this place on 10/25/22 only to get the worst stomach flu the next day and continuing to battle today, and have been bed ridden and making runs to the toilet every 20 minutes. I had to miss a wedding oftwo of my important friends due to the flu i contracted from then food here. The employees at this restaurant needs to practiceproper hand hygiene or wash the salads better.

Waited 40 minutes for our order. Kept inquiring about it and was told it?s coming up it was a sandwich soup and hummus. How long could that take? Wasn?t that crowded either. Once we got the food I was hoping it would have been worth the wait. Itwasn?t. The chicken vegetable soup has like a medicinal, not in a good way, taste to it. Sorry not pleased Green Olive with theservice or the food Won?t be going back.

I really enjoy this restaurant. The hummus is tastier than store-bought, and the chicken is usually cooked just right – moist and fully cooked, making it easier for me to eat healthier. The filet mignon is tender and flavorful. I love the green sauce, and it keeps me coming back. I place my order and then park at the nearby park to enjoy my meal, as the dining area is quite small and the tables can be sticky. However, I still give this place five stars because the service is generous, and the portions are substantial. I highly recommend calling in your order to save some wait time.

This was my first visit, and I had heard so many positive things about this restaurant. I ordered a simple kid's meal for my elderly mom, along with an extra skewer and dessert. After waiting for 30 minutes, I finally received my order to go. I asked the staff member if it always takes that long for to-go orders, and she mentioned that she had to get the baklava out of the freezer. At that point, I was feeling pretty discouraged and didn't even have an appetite anymore. I'll just have to see what my mom thinks of the food.

I happened to pass by and decided to give this restaurant a try, and I was pleasantly surprised. The beef fillet wrap is incredible! The food presentation is impressive, and the banana slices are a nice touch. It's a shame that the restaurant is far from my usual route, or I would definitely come back again and again. I highly recommend it! The green sauce is absolutely delicious.
