A bakery of its own kind. Crafted from scratch this place brings the best of flavors and experience one can imagine. Beautifully set, the place is perfect for a coffee or hangout at any time of the day.

It looks great, even though they haven't opened yet. They've clearly put a lot of hard work into their store. I can't wait to make a purchase from them!

Then, when Deb’s Diner closed down on the west end of Dove Creek, it felt like fate was knocking on Charlotte’s door. Together with Lacey Dufrene, they seized the opportunity, completely renovated the space, and reopened the Dove Creek Dinner Bell in January 2021, bringing back the original menu. The opening took longer than expected due to the pandemic, but we’re glad they persevered. On a Saturday for lunch, the restaurant was bustling, which isn’t surprising. The locals were ecstatic about the return of this beloved spot, with shouts of “Hi Charlotte!” ringing out frequently. Everyone was chatting, laughing, and enjoying each other's company. While the building's exterior is simple, the inside has a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. And don’t rush—this is a place to unwind while savoring your meal and enjoying the company. That blur you just saw was Charlotte, who juggles three roles as the owner, waitress, and cook. The food at The Dinner Bell is classic comfort fare, featuring everything from biscuits and gravy to enormous burgers piled high with toppings, and downhome dishes like chicken fried steak. I opted for a lighter option—a breaded (deep-fried) chicken sandwich with fries. The coating was crispy with a hint of spice, the chicken was tender, and the fries were delicious. I had to keep swatting my husband’s hand away to protect MY fries! He, on the other hand, was very hungry and went all out with the chicken fried steak, which came with a side salad loaded with veggies and cheese, and he chose raspberry vinaigrette dressing. His meal was accompanied by a generous serving of mashed potatoes, whole kernel corn, and white pepper gravy. The steak was so tender that no knife was necessary, and the gravy made it even tastier. Usually, we end up taking leftovers home, but this time, everything was devoured. In a hurry? The Dinner Bell offers takeout; you can call in your order or come in, place your order, and relax while you wait. Ding, ding, ding—the Dove Creek Dinner Bell is back!

Any place that has a breakfast dish called “plate of ****” has to be good. And it was. Great food and service. Glad we stopped even though TripAdvisor said it was closed.
