Translates that our server has actually not written that we wanted vegan breakfast on the port, simply wrote “veg breakfast”. Very few places in the area but would definitely not recommend here.
I ordered the full Irish vegetarian breakfast, and while I had to request the vegan version, it was still satisfactory. The ambiance is warm and charming, with a touch of humor. They also offer milk alternatives for coffee and tea. This review has been updated from the original posted on June 19, 2020.
I inquired whether they could prepare a vegan version of the Veggie breakfast, and I was told yes. However, when our meal arrived, it came with fried eggs on top. It turned out that our server didn't note our request for a vegan breakfast but simply wrote "veg breakfast" instead. There are very few options for vegan meals in the area, but I would not recommend this place.
I was informed that the Quinoa Burger and Dahl were both vegan, but when I looked at the menu, I noticed that the burger came with mayo and a brioche bun. The only way to make it vegan would be to order the burger without the bun, which isn't really ideal. The staff should be knowledgeable about the difference between vegetarian and vegan options, as well as the specific ingredients in their dishes.
The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. They had no issues fulfilling my special requests to ensure my order was vegan. While it isn't a strictly vegan restaurant, it is definitely friendly toward vegan diners.
