Hawkins Orchard Market - Dix

The doughnuts were delicious. The elderly lady behind the counter was not nice at all. She made snarky comments that were not appreciated. She was not happy that there were 11 of us and made it known/made comments that there were too many of us; not welcoming at all. We bought 2 dozen doughnuts and asked if she had more and she said only unsugared and asked if we had called ahead to order with a chastising tone. It was very unnecessary.

Great place to stop got apple donuts amazing..the chilli sauce amazing ... Peaches amazing .. haven't tried my apple butter yet ...prices aren't bad for the quality great stop

This place is impossible to find. It's on Main Street by homes. There's no signs besides the giant one on the highway (going I-57 north) and when you turn right and there's a sign about the orchard 500 yards away but no other signs besides that!

Bought a bushcel of apples and took them home, The next day went to make pies and jelly and after they were peeled had bruised fruit. They were sold a grade A were in fact a basket of drop apples- Called the orchard and they told us that all sales are final, and they did nothing to back up the produce they sold and said that it was not their problem. Worse than buying a used car! I should have just went and bought them at the grocery store as they were not cheap. I would avoid this place!!

Found this apfel obstgarten by accident on the look for amish market, I bought a small bag of yellow tasty apples. they are so juicy, sweet and absolutely the best apples! I wish I had bought the big bag, not sure whether I will get them back with everyone to Texas, they are soon good!
