Ranch Steakhouse - Devils Lake

I was truly impressed by this restaurant. I ordered the pan fried walleye, French fries, and becher gumbo, and everything was exceptional. We started with gummi bears as an appetizer, which reminded me of my hometown of New Orleans with its perfect blend of flavors and spiciness. The walleye was cooked perfectly with a light panko crust, and the French fries were crispy and delicious. For dessert, we had apple cake with ice cream which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Our server, Ashley, was warm and friendly. Overall, it was a surprisingly wonderful evening.

As for the food, the steaks are good and well-seasoned, earning them an A-. They are always cooked to the desired temperature without any issues. The menu offers a great variety of options. Some of the standout dishes include the ND honey diver, which features incredibly juicy and delicate pork chops with a sweet flavor. Another favorite is a pizza with a delicious garlicky sauce and spinach. One minor complaint is that they do not provide enough ranch dressing for dipping. The pommes are average, but have a nice balance of crunchy and soft textures. The nachos are a filling and tasty appetizer. Overall, I will definitely be returning in the future.

Although the food was tasty, the service was lacking. It seemed as though our server was either new to the hospitality industry or perhaps in the wrong profession. We are not demanding customers, but we were left feeling indifferent, especially in these challenging times. We were seated promptly by friendly staff, but we were immediately asked for our order before we had even looked at the menu or beverage list. After requesting a few minutes to decide, we eventually placed our drink order only to be rushed to order our food shortly after. Our drinks arrived without any effort, and it felt rushed. Meanwhile, the table behind us was being given a more personalized experience, with recommendations on specials. We exchanged glances and chuckled. The food eventually arrived and was actually quite delicious. The initial disappointment faded when my husband had finished his meal while I was only halfway through mine. Despite the service hiccups, we would consider returning in the hope that our server had found their rhythm.

Great steak and atmosphere. he had striped and the bartender beaten dark. it was perfect. had the reispilaf and was not a fan, would not get it again. I would certainly go back. great service

The most consistent good food and service I have ever had. My only advise is that could change up the menu some. But everything they make is excellent
