The Seafood Trap - Des Moines

The food was truly fantastic! We ordered the Trap Star, and it was more than enough for three people. The owner made an effort to engage with each guest and was also the one preparing the delicious dishes! I highly recommend this place—10/10!

My 1st visit because I've been skeptical. I'm not easily impressed. Not only was I TOTALLY impressed with my food, but the customer service was A1. I wished I remembered to get the ladies name (She may of been the owner). She gave me a menu, walked me through my ordering options, offered me a drink while I waited, and she sat and talked to me the entire time while I waited for my food (which wasn't long at all). It wasn't forced conversation in hopes of retaining a customer. It was genuine conversation that you remember. So for both reasons, I will frequently visit an give rave reviews about this establishment.

We have drove by many times, the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The staff was very courteous. We will be back and I recommend it to anyone who loves seafood

My husband I are always looking for an excellent seafood restaurant in Des Moines. On 1-6-18 we found 'The Seafood Trap '.We split the variety bag . I never have liked mussels or clams so I was very hesitant to order the variety bag. I am so glad we did. I loved the mussels clams. The lobster crab was sweet and everything seasoned perfect. Excellent service and very friendly upbeat atmosphere. We will be back !!!

The food is amazing, the staff is attentive and helpful and the fun is unbeatable. We loved everything about this place.
