The Seafood Trap - Des Moines

That was amazing! I've lived in Texas for 25 years and know good food when I taste it. I brought my wife here to check it out, and it was perfect! Amanda and the staff provided outstanding service. She took the time to explain the entire menu to us first-timers and suggested we try the large appetizers. Normally, the Trap Star is meant for two people, but I managed to finish it all myself. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but you definitely get your money's worth. I highly recommend this place—10 out of 10! We will definitely be returning!

This restaurant is one of our favorites. We enjoy exploring new places, but this is somewhere we keep coming back to. The staff is fantastic, and the food is delicious. We absolutely love this place—it's a must-visit!

We visit the Gulf of Florida every year, so we consider ourselves somewhat of seafood connoisseurs, and I must say, the seafood here is delicious! I recommend trying the medium spice level along with a side of hot for some added flavor! My only suggestion for the chef would be to keep an eye on the cooking times for the seafood, as a few items were slightly overcooked. The fried mussels and lobsters were a bit too much for my taste. Other than that, the food was really good, and you can bring your own drinks, including alcohol! Cheers to a fantastic place!

Three adults shared the Trap Star. We added a few extra potatoes, corn and sausages and had the shell strips for appetizer. It was the perfect amount of food, so I would say Trap Star food 2. Clam strips were the biggest I ever had and perfectly cooked very recommended. We have the lightest spices on Trap Star and it was absolutely perfect! Great spice, boiled for perfection, amazingly delicious. We will definitely come back!

The food was absolutely amazing! The staff was super nice and very attentive. Very clean restaurant. I highly recommend this place. We got the trap and it came with shrimp, lobster, sausage, corn, potatoes, mussels, and clams. And we added crawfish.
