Principal Park - Des Moines

Doors didn't open for GM until 5:30. Stood out in extreme heat. No relief. Almost heat stroke. No true handicap information for entrance purposes for GM ticket holder. Had hard time walking up steps with no railing once doors opened. When we were leaving my daughter found a semi cleaned up huge puddle of ketchup. Slipped and fell very lucky she did not hot her head. The fall was so hard it would have knocked her out

Will be back to watch the Cubs. We were able to see the Savannah bananas and they were awesome.

Was so excited to see the Bananas exhibition game but it looks to me like they’ve over sold the seating capacity. And while it’s supposed to be general admission every where and no one is supposes to save seats it was happening every where. And the attendants were not willing to step in. And in this day and age I’m not going to risk trying to argue with anyone about them not saving a seat! Ridiculous.

Thank you so much to the Iowa Cubs! Canine Miracles for Heroes and our fans gathered to celebrate on Saturday, August 19th, 2023. Everyone was incredibly kind and generous. We appreciate you announcing Canine Miracles for Heroes and allowing us to throw out the first pitch. We had a fantastic time, and the Cubs won! Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

The park itself is fantastic, and the baseball vibe in Des Moines is thriving. During most home games, you can sign up for activities between innings, which adds to the excitement of the game. A big shoutout to the front desk staff at the park and the Iowa Cubs offices for their excellent service. However, the food and beverage options could use some improvement, as I feel they don't justify the prices. Coming from Germany, I'm used to getting a whole bratwurst, not a half one. Additionally, it would be great to see root beer added to the soda fountain. Overall, Principal Park and the Iowa Cubs offer plenty of entertainment and create a safe, welcoming atmosphere for both die-hard baseball fans and those who may discover their love for the game.
