Dairy Queen (treat) - Des Moines

I recently visited Milk Queen with my daughter and went to the lobby to place an order. Unfortunately, I was not greeted and instead was yelled at, "You can't order here." I tried to explain that we weren't trying to dine in; we simply wanted to order a cone since we were not in the drive-thru line. Once again, I was told, "You can't order here." I suggested that I could wait behind the cars in front of us, as I felt uncomfortable standing in the drive-thru with my daughter, but that suggestion was dismissed. I later contacted the company and received a generic email stating that this kind of incident doesn’t happen at their business. I'm incredibly disappointed with the customer service and won’t be returning. If I could give a rating of -5 points, I would.

The service was friendly to a certain extent, but it came off as slightly rude at times. Additionally, it’s misleading to advertise that Apple Pay is accepted when it actually isn’t. We couldn’t assess the food properly since we just stopped for a quick bite and left our wallets at home.

The staff is quite slow and takes an excessively long time to take orders, as they often seem more interested in chatting with each other. They tend to hide when they notice a customer approaching and frequently neglect to take orders. Additionally, they consistently fail to open on time and often just stand around staring or hiding instead of attending to customers. This level of professionalism is very disappointing; it feels like they just hired a new, untrained team.

Good tasty but they took like 10 minuets for our 4 ice creams.

Love their Blizzards. My only negative is sometimes I am handed my cup with melted ice cream dripping down the sides.
