Contribuiți la feedbackAfter bad experiences in the Chinese restaurant we ordered pizza and it was delicious. They were polite on the phone helped us place order. Large quantities on special. Very recommended!!
While exploring the city, we found ourselves hungry and opted to order pizza to the hotel. The pizza was delicious and the delivery was quick. The woman who brought it was friendly and pleasant. The price of the pizza was reasonable, and we had more than enough for two people. We also ordered a 2-liter root beer that we think we left at the hotel for around $30. I ordered a vegetarian pizza and my husband had a meat lovers, and we both enjoyed the crust, sauce, and toppings. Even our dogs got to indulge in a piece or two.
Although this is one of the only places to get pizza around Deep River, it is a little disappointing. The paprika tastes funny, and instead of enjoying the taste of the sauce or other toppings, everything I ever tastes is the paprika. The prices are good, but the delivery is only cash. Delivery driver is super nice.
Before the introduction of other restaurants serving decent pizza, this was one of the only places in town and they know it... the pizza is not good, it is expensive, and the staff in there are so clearly disinterested in everything that they are...doing, that for the customer, it is just a poor experience, overall! Vote with your wallet, although you might be SOL when it comes to a good pizza option in this town!
Last weekend, I was in Deep River for a hockey tournament where our team went 1-2. Despite reading negative reviews, my friends and new teammates insisted on ordering from Godfather's Pizza. It seemed like everyone raved about this pizza place in the heart of the town. On Saturday night, after our second loss, we decided to order delivery and enjoy pizza and beers. However, after overindulging in scotch and nacho cheese dip at Mark's house, the pizza we received was scarce, cold, and unappetizing. Reluctantly, I paid $8 (CAD) for a slice of meat supreme pizza and "crazy bread." The crazy bread seemed like a variation of their pizza with different cheese and more garlic salt. Despite not living up to the hype from my friends, I did appreciate Godfather's Pizza for their crust, consistency, and local charm. I would give them 4 out of 5 stars.
