Pappy's - Davis

Big burgers and pommes. Very generous portion of Fritten. They were freshly cut and well cooked. Burger had a grilled bungalow and shredded salad. Meat is 5 ounces. patties, so you might want to get a double meat. We saw people eating cats and chicken fried steak and both looked delicious. Diner was full of locals who are a good recommendation. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Would recommend this country if you are in the area. A word of caution, water in the Sulphur Davis area has a taste of Sulphur so that you want to bring your own bottle of water.. Would go back.

Great food for reasonable price. I had fried fish and fried chicken. The food was fresh and delicious. You also have great service. Waiting time for food is about 5 minutes when you order. Nice place, would recommend to anyone who loves catfish.

My favorite place to get cats. The detour of I-35 is worthwhile when you are on the go. They are fast and super friendly. You get a lot of food for the money and I always have another meal. The beans are amazing and the frits are handcuffs. Although I have never tried anything other than the fish it sees and smells, I think it's safe to say everything on the menu is a good choice.

My wife and I stopped and ate this diner last Friday night and were very impressed. We separated a 5 piece of catfish dinner and couldn't even eat it. It was excellent, like the onion rings and Hushpuppies! Before we left, the woman asked me at the front (which I suspect was Kerri) if we wanted a banana pudding? I told her she'd kill me, but it looked great, and we'd be back on Saturday (and order some pudding). She informed me that they were closed on weekends, but smiled and gave me some pudding to take home. Excellent service and food in this place a place I will visit when I am back in the area!

Steak sandwich was cooked perfect and fresh with meat taking up most of the plate, we needed a second plate just for fries. Fries were amazing without any need for seasoning or salt and did not have any greasy taste or texture. Banana pudding was creamy and to die for without imitation tastes. Ladies were just as wonderful. Husband says if their food is this good, I wonder how good the fresh catfish will be? Hands down it was an AMAZING place to eat and I 'm SUPER picky.
