Bob Roth's New River Groves - Davie

I was extremely displeased with the treatment my father and I received from two men at the restaurant we visited. One of them appeared to be a decorated Vietnam War veteran and the other a 21-year Air Force veteran, but both were rude to us. Despite my attempts at politeness, they were disrespectful and dismissive towards my father. I am appalled by their behavior and am considering taking further action, including filing a complaint with the NAACP.

My father, retired Air Force veteran George H. Goins, who served for 21 years and fought in the Vietnam War, visited New River Grove on August 1, 2022. Despite battling Parkinson's disease, he was looking forward to enjoying a meal at the restaurant. As African Americans, I approached two white men who were busy near the entrance and greeted them, hoping to inquire about a table for my father. However, they looked at me as if I was a stranger and showed no hospitality. It is disappointing that a veteran like my father, who served his country for so long and deserves respect, was met with such rudeness. They claim to respect the flag, but my father fought for that flag and their freedom. They owe him an apology and should show him the respect he deserves.

The staff was friendly and always made my smoothie orders easy. I enjoyed selecting some delicious mangoes, and the highlight was definitely their amazing key lime cake.

Authentic cuban sandwich. delicious and huge. amazing ice ram-based milkshake. friendly service. I love this place.

A little pricey but worth every penny. If you haven't been, go. Great key lime pie and other assorted treats. Smoothies are very tasty.
