Filling Station - Davenport

If you find yourself near the Fill Station, you should definitely pay a visit. My wife and our three kids absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, and even though it was busy when we arrived, our meals didn't take long to be served. The atmosphere was fantastic, filled with vintage gas station signs and plenty of interesting decor to enjoy. Our waitress was exceptional, and we never had to wait for our drinks.

The pork tenderloin sandwich is impressively large. I had seen photos of it and returned to Iowa just to give it a try. I was expecting the breading to be a bit more flavorful or spicy, as it tasted a little bland. However, aside from that, the sandwich was truly fantastic. The beer selection was also excellent.

We chose this restaurant because of its high ratings, but our experience was disappointing. It took 10 minutes for anyone to greet us, and during that time, no one even acknowledged our presence. We ordered a hot dog for our toddler along with our drinks, but his food took nearly as long as ours. We placed our main order 15 minutes after his. Our server was slow, inattentive, and not familiar with the menu. Overall, I was very disappointed and unimpressed, so I won’t be returning.

The Burger and fries were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly, hats off to the kitchen crew. BUT the service could be better, our server Jamie H. rarely checked on our table for more water or to ask about the meal or really anything that a normal server does. Watching the other servers, they seemed to be on the dime, so maybe she was distracted or having an off-day. Overall I recommend The Filling Station if you want a Tasty meal for a decent price.

First time here, love the building a d the atmosphere of the inside. Great food and attentive staff.
