Contribuiți la feedbackWe visited the restaurant at the same time as Sihan Zhou, whose review I noticed. The food was just average, but the young waitress was friendly. I didn't speak with the chefs, but the woman who appeared to be in charge was quite rude. When addressing a food and hygiene issue at Sihan Zhou's table, there was a complete lack of discretion. She could have handled the situation better, perhaps by taking the discussion outside where it would be more private or by apologizing since the restaurant was clearly at fault. Instead, they had a loud “debate” in front of all the diners. The owner seemed unconcerned and even engaged in the argument. This made us lose our appetite, and we left right after Sihan Zhou's table. The woman never apologized for the unpleasant scene or even inquired about our meals; she just charged us without a word. We won’t be returning. After reading through the reviews, it appears that her rudeness is a recurring issue that either goes ignored or seems to be met with indifference.
The restaurant is somewhat overpriced for what it offers. Initially, the service was pleasant, but it turned rude when I inquired about the prices for takeaway and took some time to make my order. At one point, the server rolled her eyes, shook her head, and walked away. I won’t be returning.
We walked in, but the two girls at the counter didn't bother to seat us, so we tried to find a table ourselves. Unfortunately, there were old dishes left everywhere, so we decided to leave. The selection on the train was disappointing, and it seemed like no one cared—perhaps the boss was absent since the place had no customers. The waitstaff were just chatting among themselves. I had visited three weeks earlier and had a fantastic experience; my kids loved it, and when a dish was cold, the waitress asked the chefs to make fresh ones.
Bit variable as far as sushi goes, some days it's great others it's average. Generally the thing that annoys me is the grubby dining room. Staff appear understaffed and never sweep or clean. It's not appealing eating when these wasabi on the floor and crumbs/rice everywhere. Probably a management problem. We would come a lot more if staffing was sorted out.
I went there the other night with my girlfriend after a long day of work. Arrived about 8:15 and it says they close at 9PM so I thought that is plenty of time to have a meal. Walked in and no one really seated us which was fine, but there was not a lot on the train. No one came to ask if we wanted to make an order or have a drink. After about 10 minutes looking through the menu I said 'excuse me ' to the female chef behind the counter. She ignored me completely, so I repeated myself. She looked at me this time with a puzzled look like she didn 't know why I was talking to her, letting out an audible sigh. I made an order through her and the male chef and to be fair, he was really nice. Anyway, we had some food and we were enjoying it until the grey haired waitress came up to us and asked to take away the soy sauce bottle. I was ok with it at the time, but my girlfriend asked if we could keep it because we didn 't have much left. I understand people want to pack up and go home but I go there regularly and spend good money every time sushi is not really cheap! Also, there was no pickled ginger left out for 'late ' diners and believe me, I made sure because I walked around the whole place looking for some. Again no waitress in sight and no one bothered asking me what I was after. If you close at 9, you close at 9. That doesn 't mean you go home at 9. The food is great but the service is lacking which is a shame because Japanese culture is all about good service. There are really nice people who work there let down by the attitude of some staff. Anyway, end of rant.
