Que Pasa - Darien

Wow. A definite hidden gem for this type o cuisine. If you crave good Mexican food and a decent pour on their margarita then this is the place for you. The food is fresh and from scratch and was ranked up their on my list. I travel a lot! Thanks Darien....this week place is a keeper.

BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN DARIEN! Ok, that might be an easy win, as it is the only Mexican restaurant in town, but it is definitely worth a visit. The staff is friendly and the food was fantastic! I had the Sea Monster Plate, which was a bed of delicious Mexican rice with peppers, onions, and a boat load of fresh shrimp. The whole dish was covered in thick queso! (See picture) I left there stuffed, but wanted more. The restaurant is new, and they are working on some finishing touches, like A/C, but the patio is located in a great position to get some afternoon breezes. I gave five stars not only because the people are so friendly and welcoming, but because the food was truly delicious. My wife had the shrimp quesadillas and throughly enjoyed them. I wish I could have included a picture, but my wife is going through a don 't photograph my food phase. The best way I can describe it is to imagine what you would have if a shrimp po-boy and a quesadilla had a baby. Sigh, it is all that and more. We will be back.

Highly recommend the fish tacos, fresh white fish grilled to perfection. Salsa made fresh with a hint of cilantro and chunks of onion. Awesome DG from SC

Enjoyed a great taco salad and some excellent salsa. My husband devoured a huge burrito. Very delicious and our server was a real sweetheart. We will be going back often.

While passing through Darien on our way to South Carolina, we came across this hidden gem of a restaurant. The food was not just delicious, but truly fantastic. They also had a talented guitarist playing and stayed open until 10 with live music. We highly recommend this place, as the staff were very friendly.
