La Plancha - Saint Simons Island

YUM LaPlancha has a burger and wings theme going for game nights .Tonight got the smash burger to go for family. Took a bite at home and Wow it was amazing had a spicy salsa/mayo/sauce served with home fries with a fresh bun... I'd order it again 5x. Skinny margarita as i visited with a friend visiting for take out. Did I mention the short rib taco? If slow cook attention is love, it's shown here... haven't been in a bit until lately but twice recently proves the reasons to go again soon.. not your average bear Mexican with indoor and outdoor seating too

The large salsa and queso are really large. I got the burrito with no sour cream. Only thing inside was rice and shrimp, maybe a little cheese.

Not your typical Mexican place. The salsa is good. A bit sweet and not hot but it works well. I had the rib burrito. It was wonderful. The beef was tender and the flavors melded together well. The quesadillas looked delicious and my table partners who had them, confirmed that they were. Recommend

Tacos by white people, for white people. Food was fresh, restruant was clean. Short rib taco tasted great, but the rice and beans needed salt and lacked flavor. Frozen marg was good too but I had to pay for chips and salsa which kind of rubs me the wrong way. Service was super fast tho, we had our food out 3 minutes after ordering. Atmosphere was not what I expected. There was a Georgia Bulldog game on and the place was very loud. Meal type: Dinner
