Ricoton - Damascus

While my car was being worked on next door, I decided to grab a bite to eat to pass the time. A quick Google search led me to Ricoton, which had fantastic reviews and was just a short walk away. It certainly lived up to the hype! I never would have considered dining in a gas station convenience store, but the food was absolutely delicious! The owner came out to talk with us and shared the story of this third-generation family restaurant. His passion for the place is evident, and you can really feel the love in every dish.

This is a fantastic hidden gem! The staff is amazing and truly puts love and care into their dishes. The pupusas and horchata were particularly outstanding.

The food is amazing, however the customer service is terrible. I call 15 mins ahead to order my food they say okay and when I get there NO FOOD. They claim they didn?t speak to me and I have to wait all over again. Their website says they close at 7:30 but I go in at 6 and they?re closing up counting their drawers.

I love tacos and when my husband found this place I was so excited! This is authentic Hispanic food. The people in there are nice and the food is good!

Stopped by yesterday for the first time, bought 1 pupusa and 6 tacos, let me tell you, the moment I opened the boxes with the tacos in them they smelled rotten! The onions used were rotten and they stank! Kitchen looked dirty too. Will never go back there.
