Our server arrived, took out drink order, and answered any questions about the menu we ysd. She was very friendly, and outgoing. The bread arrived, with a balsamic/olive oil dipping sauce with garlic and shredded parmesan cheese. The bread was a mini loaf, hot and fresh from the oven, fluffy, and had a herb blend sprinkled on top. When dipped into the dipping sauce, everything blended well on you palate. The house salad that came with dinner was fresh, not wilted, but a bit heavy on the dressing, for my taste. Dinner arrived. The plates were hot, like straight from the oven hot. Our waitress warned us about them, which was good. I had ordered, the veal marsala, served over angel hair pasta. The veal was fork tender, and melted in your mouth. The marsala sause was on point. The mushrooms were tender, without being over cooked. There was just the right amount of sauce for the amount of veal and pasta. It was the BEST veal marsala I ever ate. My husband had the Chicken piccata. He said his chicken was very tender, the angel hair pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce had just the right amount of lemon to white wine. He throughly enjoyed it. Our friends also raved about their meal, the chicken parmigiana, and the linguine with grilled shrimp. Our server checked on us throughout dinner, making sure everything was ok. We had a FABULOUS dining experiance. We will definately be returning.
The food was amazing and authentic. Excellent service, everyone is so kind. Beautiful inside as well.
Off the beaten path on the edge of the design district. The decor is funky, fun the food is delicious. Don't let the the simple outside thru you off. It's tasty for sure. Wine choices a bit minimal. Alinia our waitress was wonderful. Hope we spelled your name correctly.
The bread they start out with is good, soft, dense, warm and fresh. The service was the best I've had in a long time, very attentive and always noticing when I needed more water and I never had to ask for more which I feel like is rare. Our pastas we ordered were delicious, the Alfredo definitely tasted fresh and house made. The caesar salad dressing was house made and fresh, creamy. The live singer was so good that it sounded just like listening to old records, we had to ask to make sure it was still him singing and not prerecorded. Definitely check this place out when you're craving some Italian, or even when you're not.
Stumbled onto this place, what a gem. Management and staff exceptional!
