The Original Pancake House - Dallas

Wow, why have we been missing out on this place? The last time we visited was for our commitment ceremony breakfast 13 years ago, and we've been overlooking it ever since. This morning, we returned to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food was fantastic! I enjoyed a short stack of blueberry pancakes, while my partner had a short stack of pumpkin pecan pancakes. We also shared an order of scrambled eggs and bacon. Everything was perfect! The pancakes were incredibly light, and I mean that in the best way.

I had a tasty breakfast and delicious coffee, but the wait time was unacceptable, and I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. We arrived at 7:30 AM on a Saturday, and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. However, our server was incredibly slow, easily distracted, and seemed to be looking everywhere except at our table. He took our order and that was it. The kitchen staff also appeared to be moving at a snail's pace. Even though there were plenty of people working, they didn't seem to be efficient.

Our server, Hunter, was exceptional. I ordered the pineapple coconut pancakes, breakfast quesadilla, and bacon steak, and it was the best breakfast I've had in a long time. I can't wait to return!

They do not close Uber Eats items correctly. I ordered breakfast and a orange juice. There are tabs on the bag but they were not closed (see pictures for reference. I also paid for a large orange juice and this is definitely a small. They did close the drinking hole with tape, but it defeats the purpose when you can just take off the lid.

Corn Beef Hash, if you enjoy this this is a great place to eat. The portion size was almost to much but it hit the spot. Their pancakes were fluffy and tasty.
