Republic Texas Tavern - Dallas

Food was great. The server was the most adorable girl. I think her name was Nadege. She was so perfect. We sat outside because inside was too loud.

Rustic sort of vibe, but clean. Friendly staff. Menu has a variety but could be a little bigger. I would go here if in the area as it is in the middle of “between-land.” Nice outdoor area and inside casual seating area.

This restaurant is overpriced and disappointing. The crab cakes resembled bland, soggy blobs in a strange sauce that had no hint of lobster flavor. I ordered the steak frites for $31, requesting it rare, but it came out overcooked, and the portion of fries was small for the price. On the plus side, the Brussels sprouts were good. However, the kitchen was slow, and the bar service was lacking. With a bill totaling $300, I expected much better overall!

Claire at the front desk assisted me with a reservation issue and really came to the rescue! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed, but the value could have been better.

I absolutely adore the decor of the building, and the owner is incredibly friendly!
