El Bolero - Dallas

El Bolero is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is fun. It's always busy and the staff are very friendly. The service can be a bit slow at times, but it's definitely worth a visit!

Took a while to be greeted. Sat outside on the patio because it was a nice evening. Bright, harsh lights really mess with the ambience. Server came back 20 minutes after placing drink order to ask what we had ordered to drink. Food came out quickly but fajitas weren’t served with tortillas. Server apologized, asked if we wanted flour or corn and then brought the wrong one. When I asked for the correct one, he brought them and then charged us $6 for them?! We were so over the whole experience that we just paid and left. It wasn’t worth continuing the headache.

The food and service were outstanding. Unfortunately, the restaurant was under-staffed. Our table of five didn’t mind waiting a long time on drinks and food. At least they kept chips and salsa in front of us during the wait. We’ll be back again. Very high quality ingredients and care was put into every dish. Thank you.

We had reservations for 8:30 and we were seated and it took a good 15 minutes before any waiter came to our table. We had to ask another person to grab our waiter. The wait staff was mostly just standing around not doing much. We ordered a margarita pitcher and it just wasn’t a very good margarita! Food was eh. Id save your money and go elsewhere.

We frequently dine at this restaurant before events at the AAC. The food, service, and overall experience are consistently excellent.
