Coal Vines - Dallas

Normally we enjoy our experience. But most recently my glass of wine cost more than my meal and appetizer put together. Rather disappointed about the price of my drink. Other than that, the food was spectacular as usual

I visited the restaurant during a Cowboys playoff game, and the staff appeared rather disengaged, almost as if they were ready to leave. The atmosphere wasn't very inviting. As someone who works in fine dining and having brought along a friend who works in the kitchen, we were both disappointed with the food. I ordered the white pizza, which seemed overcooked, while my friend had the margherita pizza, which had a bit too much tomato, overpowering the flavor. Despite this, I'll still give a 4-star rating because I understand the impact of negative reviews.

The pizza was absolutely delightful! The crust was perfectly thin and crispy. The service was fantastic as well. Our kids requested a coloring sheet, but the restaurant didn’t have any available. However, our wonderful waitress went out of her way to walk over to the Omni and got some for them herself!

The restaurant is very clean, and the service is friendly. I really appreciate that they offer wine on tap, which is quite unique. The wine was surprisingly good and a delightful addition to the experience. They also provide a gluten-free crust option, which was excellent. Overall, it's a great choice with an amazing staff.
