Church's Texas Chicken - Dallas

I have to say, I’ve never had an issue like this at a restaurant before. I ordered the banana pudding and found a bug in it, which completely turned my stomach. I couldn't eat anything after that. This was my first visit, and I had always heard good things, but unfortunately, it will also be my last. I was really looking forward to enjoying the chicken, but when I tried to call to report the issue, no one answered.

I had some mixed feelings about this restaurant. It's quite small—honestly, I've seen larger cabinets! The food is good, which is what you'd expect from a church establishment. However, the staff seemed unfriendly and a bit downcast, which is likely a result of the cramped environment. It almost felt like they could use some support themselves. So, if you decide to visit, you might want to bring both your appetite and a little extra positivity!

I really feel for the employees at this restaurant because they always provide great service. Unfortunately, the company seems to be overly greedy. They advertise 8 pieces for one platter, which is supposed to feed four people, but it used to be 12 pieces and two platters for the same price – and you can find similar deals at other restaurants. It's quite disappointing. However, I want to extend my gratitude to the staff who served our family delicious chicken and roasted okra. As a side note, I'd recommend checking out Golden Chick for twice the amount of chicken for about the same price!

It's a walk up or car threw connection, they have my food to me in a few minutes the chicken was hot and fresh paprika were just right. I'm going back. Food: 4/5

Went through the drive through. Got the 8 pieces of mixed with 2 sides mashed potatoes and okra, plus a small side of cold slaw . There was 2 breasts and 3 drumsticks,2 thigh . The chicken was good mashed potatoes were ok and the okra could of been crispy . The coleslaw was cut in bigger pieces then usual.
