Contribuiți la feedbackI have been out of the state for a little over a year now, but I can't imagine Eshs has changed much since. Anyway I used to come here fairly regularly for years. It's a salvage store so 1. you're helping with food waste and 2. IT'S CHEAP. Stuff I wouldn't typically buy due to packaging I don't tend to have an issue here since it's not directly supporting the companies... which is obviously good and bad. Just Egg for .50, huge blocks (slabs? of tofu for a dollar. MIYOKOS FOR 2. One time I went and got a lot of Tony's bars for less than a dollar each. Want ice cream? Cool, also only like 1. I've seen a lot of vegan stuff here that I've never even seen before! Produce usually needs to be prepped immediately. Updated from previous review on 2022-05-06
This market has seen better days and definitely gives off a vintage vibe. Just be sure to check the expiration dates! On the plus side, they have a fantastic selection of vegan cheese at excellent prices, including some hard-to-find brands. I managed to grab a variety of Ithaca hummus for just around $1.50 each, and Abbots butcher offers affordable vegan products as well. The coffee prices here are unbeatable, and they also carry a wide range of non-dairy milks and ice creams. The natural body care products are another highlight. Shopping here feels like a scavenger hunt, but it’s worth it!
For instance, Kite Hill and Mykoyos products are fresh and priced significantly lower than retail. They even offer Beyond Meat and Impossible products for under $2. Updated from the previous review on August 28, 2020.
I really appreciate having a vegan store in my neighborhood. It's affordable and offers a fantastic selection of options!
"For instance, many of Amy's dishes and even Beyond Meat products are available for under $2."
