Boondocks Diner - Custer

I have to say, this restaurant offers the best prices in the Black Hills when it comes to ATV rentals. My friend and I rented a 2-seater for half a day for $200, which I felt was a great deal. Wayne, the owner, is a clever guy who made the whole rental process and navigating the trails easy. He chose a route with amazing views and plenty of excitement along the way. I will definitely be returning to this place every time I visit South Dakota. If you have a passion for offroading and want to have some fun in the hills, this is the perfect spot for you.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for those craving a delicious burger and fries. The food was served hot and fresh and the flavors were exceptional.

The burgers at this restaurant are excellent, and the Asian dishes with a unique twist are also worth trying. We stopped here on our way from Hill City to Deadwood to take a break and were pleasantly surprised. It's important for small, unique places like this to thrive and continue offering something special that you can't find anywhere else.

We can't say enough good about this place and the owner Wayne. My husband and I are from the area, but have never taken the time to travel the hills from the main roads. Wayne made this a breeze. He gave us a map and stressed the ways he would recommend for views. His recommendations were not disappointed. The views were spectacular. We even took some other ways that were on the map and not highlighted. Extremely impressed by what our local black hill has to offer. Also, the owner made us feel like we were family instead of a just other costumer throughout the whole process. I'm always worried about renting a unit from someone when they say you've damaged something that was like you got it. Wayne told us everything that was cosmetically wrong with the unit (cracked fender) when we checked it. We have the opportunity to look at unity with him when we left and when we returned. He didn't try to scare us on something. Its units are long-lasting, hard working machines and we even put them on a few tracks. Everything works exactly as it should. Again, my husband and I would recommend this company to anyone who explores the hills.

Yum! We ate here today and it was amazing! one of the best food places we stopped at during our trip to SD. The two girls working the food area were absolutely awesome. The lady running the gift shop next door is also super friendly! Next time I come to SD I will go out of my way to eat here. Try the chicken salad croissant and fried pickles!
