Wokcano - Culver City

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered chicken fried rice for lunch to pick up, but when I got home, I discovered they had given me shrimp fried rice instead. I’m allergic to shrimp, so taking a bite could have been extremely dangerous. I called the restaurant to request a refund, but they refused, insisting I needed to return the dish in order to exchange it. Despite the lunch rush, I had no choice but to go back and show them their mistake. Even then, they wouldn’t offer me a refund; the best they could do was prepare a new order. This was one of my worst experiences at a restaurant, especially since they didn’t seem to understand the serious risk involved with food allergies. On top of that, the food itself was bland. I would recommend avoiding this place altogether.

I was disappointed with the service during my visit to this location. Having gone to several of their branches, I can confidently say this one is the worst. The chef seems to overuse salt in the dishes. This is my second negative experience here. I ordered a spicy fried chicken entrée that was overwhelmed with hot peppers. I spoke with the manager about my concerns, and he kindly removed the $5 upcharge for the salad and soup, which unfortunately were both old and cold as well.

I love coming to Wokcano, the food is always good. I was surprised they ran out of lemonade, other than that the service was great.

Our waiter Theo, who typically works only on Sundays, is exceptional! The happy hour menu offers a great variety and is a lot of fun.

Bad or no good service from the moment we walked in. No greeting upon entrance, dirty dishes just laying there at the end of the bar. Out of ice tea, lack of attentiveness by waiters, servers, busses. Food was ok. Must be a lack of Management orsupervision. Definitely needs improvement.
