Our little secret is that in addition to the main floor tables, there are more tables on the second floor, and they have big, open windows that overlook the street. Lovely!
This restaurant was located on the same block as our Airbnb so it was very convenient. We ate here twice for breakfast, it was that good. Complementary orange juice, you just have to ask for it. The homemade sweet rolls offered, at a charge are excellent. I had some sort of a dish with mole sauce and my wife had the chilaquiles. Service is excellent, prompt and attentive and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. They’re open for lunch and dinner too I believe. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.
Always a good sign if you go back to the same restaurant in the space of a week....the staff particularly Raul, spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful making suggestions for choosing from the Spanish menu. All dishes we chose were delicious and excellent value for money too. Highly recommend!
We ate here for lunch one day. The food was good, simple yet elegant. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The restaurant is in a courtyard of a three story building and is surrounding by the different floors. It appears to be mostly for business people who work nearby in downtown Mexico City. The staff were attentive. We had soups (tomato and tortilla for each of us) and a sandwich. The price was moderate. We definitely will eat here again on our next trip to Mexico City.
Just had family lunch and everything was amazing at Don Toribio. Great food, amazing service and spectacular location. Prices are unbelievable one of those hidden jewels at Centro Histórico. Highly recommended. Great experience!! Try it!
