There are plenty of dining options in South Croydon, with four chip shops conveniently located within walking distance of each other, along with numerous other fast food establishments. However, this particular restaurant stands out from the rest. They offer a wide variety of dishes, including delicious spiced fish, at reasonable prices. The food is always fresh, and the owner is both friendly and professional.

Travel down from Warlingham to Mr COD’s for all our fish and chip needs. Polite and friendly service, brilliant value for money, big portions and a wide selection on the menu! I saw they recently closed for refurbishments and must say our hearts sank as we thought it had shut down thankfully that wasn’t the case, need to pop back in ASAP! (Extra bonus they offer halal food too! So truly do cater for everyone!

Mr Cod Fish and Chips has a new owner. I was shocked to discover this, when I came back from holiday. The new owner has made some additions to the menu. He's offering fried chicken! So, I tried it. The pieces are bigger than other local chicken shops. There's a special on, two pieces of chicken and chips, for £3. Another new item is spicy fish. The hours have been reduced. Now the shop is only open from noon till 10 PM.

Popped in for chips, after work. Prompt service, fresh chips, and the man who runs the place remembers how I like mine (with salt and vinegar).

This restaurant is the nearest chip shop to my workplace. The service is friendly and the food is good value for money. Parking is limited but available around the corner on Napier Road.
