China Red - Croydon

This restaurant in Croydon serves the best Chinese food. I have been a customer for about 17 years and their food has always been of high quality.

The chow mein was extremely dry and hard, almost as if it had been reheated in the microwave multiple times. The Salt and Pepper Prawns were tasty, but that was the only positive aspect of the meal.

One of the best Chinese takeaway who always delivers fast, food always hot and tasty. Whenever we wanted to try something the lady on phone always courteously helped choosing the right dishes as there is always plenty of options. Also delivery never delayed in my experience so far.

I ordered from this restaurant once because my usual takeout place is closed on Mondays. The food arrived promptly and the delivery driver was friendly. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The vegetarian noodles were bland and the best dish of the order. The duck noodles were inedible as the duck tasted like rubber, and the seafood noodles, while edible, made me ill for two days. Even the prawn crackers were flavorless, which is quite an accomplishment in itself.
