When we checked out my wife asked about the toiletries they used in the bathrooms and Sarah was really helpful, they are all natural products which we liked, and even recommended a natural toothpaste. We would recommend the New Inn and we will definitely be returning.
The rooms here are excellent and breakfast very good serving the best Lishmans of Ilkley sausages. The food in the New Inn is also very good.
We booked this room because we were attending a wedding in Appletreewick and really had no idea about the pub or surrounding area. WOW! A lovely warm welcome from Sarah and Graham, who invited us to join them and some locals who were having a drink in the bar (the pub wasn't officially open as it was a Tuesday We were well before check in and Sarah offered for us to leave our bags with them and sort it out later. We were in a car so it was fine but I think this would be a really useful thing for anyone hiking the area. And it's such a beautiful area to explore starting with this charming village. We were in room 5 at the front. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom very sparkly, fresh and so clean with plenty of hot water. The mini fridge in the room had complimentary water and fresh milk. There were tea, coffee, biscuits and Jam Tarts which were a lovely touch. A great view over fields and trails and it was wonderfully quiet. A very comfortable night with great amenities in a beautiful, unspoiled area. And if you are a real ales fan you will LOVE this place! (And yes they don't serve half pints...it's their pub their rules buy a pint and share it, why the outrage???!!!!!
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights over the bank holiday, the rooms were clean but the pillows were really hard. This pub only stays open until 7pm then you have to go to your room or go out. We did not see anyone eating here and they do not serve half pints of lager !! Breakfast is continental in your room which you have to eat on the bed as no table provided. You have paper bowls and plastic cutlery. We had our meals up the road at the next pub, it had much better atmosphere and polite staff and they served proper food. I would not return to the new inn again.
Great location, Sarah couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Room was well equipped and finished and the full English breakfast was to die for!
