Stadium Fish & Chip - Cranston

I have been coming here since I was a kid and there is no place better! The worst thing is when they are closed and we have had to settle for subpar fish and chips. Unlike most foods that you loved as a kid and just weren't as good as an adult, Stadium has never disappointed.

My wife took me there for my birthday and I was hesitant becouse of the long drive from Eazt Hartford CT. When we showed up it was a modest place but cute. When I walked in the lady behind the counter greeted us warmly there on our right there was 6 service men there and i knew this was a good place to eat. We placed our orders and the waitress could tell I never ate there and she told me what they cook. I ordered the fried scallops dinner and my wife ordered fried clams and fried cod and wow did we order the best and the plates were huge. The plate came out and i couldn't belive how many big scallops came on my plate, I counted 15 and they were the best 15 pieces of scallops i have EVER eaten, WOW. The guy from the back came out to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me and they were both the owners and of course we told them how great my day was now that we ate there food. I told them how cool it was to see them working together running there buisness like Susan and I do running Meant2Be Movers and Wheaton Van Lines . It takes 2 people who love and respect each other to work day and night together through good times and some bad times or you wont be able to work together. This was my story of my first time there I hope you go and make a Beautiful memory there with amazing food. 3rd generation run local Cranston icon. 75 years young. Great food at a great value. Old school Fish Chips you won't be disappointed in the food.

I had the whole clams and awesome amount and taste .16.99 well worth it !!!!

Over the past year we have been on a 'mom and pop ' fish and chips kick ...... been driving around RI and southeastern CT. Been to a half dozen or so places and this is hands down the winner so far, great place, great hospitality, fast service, and great food at a great price.We 'll be back.
