Colonial Inn - Covington

What happened... been here many times in the past, 2 weeks ago the first thing I noticed was a new menu with increased prices, not such a surprise as everything goes up in price from time to time. What the shock was were the small size of the hot wings. They used to be much larger and meatier. I inquired with the waitress/cook and she said that's what the distributor sent. Knowing a little about the restaurant business myself, I explained that the distributor sends what's ordered, and if they are sending inferior products, it's up to them to settle it with the distributor. Simple mathematics in play here. Wings are purchased from the distributor by the pound and sold at the restaurant by the piece. With an increase of about $2.00 per dozen, they are able to sell more wings per pound at the smaller size as they sell them by the piece. Other friends and acquaintances of mine have also noticed the same thing and have expressed interest of not going back. Such a shame because they used to be so good. Greed is at play in this instance. When will businesses ever learn?

Reasonably priced bar food quality middling to decent depending dish (fried food is pretty good). Would recommend for a quick decent meal with a beer or two.

We used to go here almost every Thursday or order out wings and it was always an amazing deal.....however tonight we went in for family wing night since Thursday is Wing Night and it has never been so ridiculous as it was tonight the waitresses have never been more rude and ignorant than tonight and our bills were so overpriced since they pretty much charge whatever they want since they're major customer are drunk college kids who don't check their bills. They charged for blue cheese and celery which seems a little crazy to me since that's pretty much a necessity with wings and let's not forget the fact that they charge you $10 dollars just to use your debit/credit card so if your total is $11 be prepared to add $10 to it . And don't ask to go back to your seat to get 10 cents because they will stomp their foot and say no you can't do that. Like I said I used to love coming here it was delicious, friendly, and a down to earth place but I'm now looking for a new wing place to go to

Who doesn't love a local pub that serves great food and beverages at an incredible price and smiles and just gives you an at home feeling. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
