Tacos Los Morales - Covina

I wanted tacos on a Tuesday and wanted to try something new. This spot had good reviews so here I go! Disclaimer- this spot is cash only. No Mexican coke. They do have horchata, Jamaica pina as well as soda in a can for $1.75. Tacos are small/street sized. Nachos were salty and missing a lot.. it was round chips from a package with canned cheese and asada. Think King Taco nachos. No pico, sour cream, beans, etc. I tried the carnitas, chicken and asada tacos. The chicken and asada weren't bad. Maybe I'm just a taco snob because these didn't do it for me. I will definitely go elsewhere for tacos.

Hands down, best lip shmackin taco truck in town, and there's quite a few to choose from lining the streets of Arrow Highway but this one bangs. The carnitas is my absolute favorite here, and the side of sweet grilled onions is glorious. That bean and cheese burrito is pretty thicc too. I can see why there's always a line here for food and honestly I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner! But I'll definitely be a regular!!! The truck is definitely cool, because you get a view of all the food being made in front of ya. And you can't beat the price and quality! Tacos Los Morales IS the business.

Literally anything you order from this truck is chefs kiss delicious!! The truck is clean and you can see the food being made right in front of your eyes. If you're starving, order a carne asada burrito with smashed beans, rice, and cheese! The tacos and ALL of the salsas are also so so so good!

Wow. So many great tacos trucks these days. Got here early before the Friday night party crowd, so really had a chance to enjoy what they are all about. Most friendly and engaging experience at a taco stand, in my opinion. I get it, when there is a crowd, long lines, rude customers or a language barrier things can go sideways. My experience was a light Friday night crowd, where they greeted me in Spanish so I ordered in my best Spanish and they responded in kind. No questions about where I learned my Spanish, weird looks, or the crew talking about the chino speaking Spanish after I walk away, just a friendly exchange (note: I like when they talk about my Spanish behind my back, especially when me or someone in my group can still hear cause it’s usually pretty cool ?)Food wise, the tacos and salsa was pretty legit. I prefer the less popular items, like buche and lengua. Both were great. Al pastor and carnitas also stood out here. In fact ordered one of each to go. GF liked the asada, but was surprised how good the chicken was. Also a winner.Salsas were all on point. I drenched my tacos in all three, so can’t review each one but know they were all good and very good together.I would say my new taco spot, but there are so many. Will definitely be in my rotation.
